This full day experience offers a bicycle tour along a historic railway branch now converted into a bike-friendly Ecopista. After pickup in Coimbra, you will be transferred by car to Viseu where the bike journey begins. The route is linear, approximately 49.2 kilometers long, and mostly descending, allowing you to enjoy a relaxed ride through orchards vineyards and riverside landscapes, ending in Santa Comba Dão where participants are collected and returned to Coimbra.
Along the Ecopista you will pass old railway stations and stops including the notable Torredeita Station with its vintage locomotive. The northern section of the route is rich in cork chestnut and oak trees, along with fields and vineyards. In the south you will see strawberry trees and cross the Granjal Bridge over the Aguieira Reservoir. This self-guided ride combines nature, history, and scenic views for an unforgettable cycling experience.
