The Carmelite Route is one of the Paths of Fatima and part of the Paths of Faith in central Portugal linking Coimbra to the Sanctuary of Fatima. This thematic cycling itinerary is inspired by the life of Sister Lucia one of the three shepherd children of Fatima who entered the Carmelo de Santa Teresa in 1947 and lived there until 2005. The route combines spiritual heritage rural landscapes and peaceful villages offering a meaningful and reflective journey.

The tour begins at 8 30 am with a meeting in front of Hotel Astoria in downtown Coimbra followed by a transfer to the starting point at Penedo da Saudade near the Carmelo de Santa Teresa and the memorial of Sister Lucia.
