This experience offers a rare opportunity to step into the daily life of a wildlife park and work alongside the keepers as they care for a wide range of animals. Throughout the day you may assist with feeding routines, support keepers with habitat cleaning and observe the many steps involved in maintaining a healthy and enriching environment for the animals. You may be invited into areas usually not seen by visitors where keepers prepare food, organise enrichment activities and attend to animals that require special attention. These moments give you the chance to learn directly from the team and gain a deeper understanding of how much dedication is involved in caring for native wildlife. Each task is supervised to ensure a safe and engaging experience while allowing you to participate in meaningful aspects of animal care.
Some activities may also include observing rescued wildlife as they receive treatment and support within the shelter facilities. These animals are not part of the public park and are cared for behind the scenes until they are ready for release. You may help prepare enrichment items that encourage natural behaviours, assist the team during daily talks for visitors or join the keepers as they complete feeding rounds in the afternoon. Every moment offers insight into the importance of conservation, rehabilitation and education within a modern wildlife park. This experience is designed to offer personal growth, hands on learning and a closer connection to the animals and people who protect them.
