Open Water Certification

Our teaching philosophy is centered on building your skills and confidence as a diver rather than relying on advanced equipment. We provide instruction for all major dive agencies including PADI, NAUI, and SSI, and can accommodate referrals from any universal agency system. Students are free to choose the agency they prefer, and we ship the necessary course materials directly to you. The course includes multiple pool sessions, boat dives, and classroom lectures with testing, and can be completed intensively over a few days or spread across several half-day sessions. Classes are scheduled around your vacation time, allowing for a nearly private learning environment. This approach enhances the learning experience while giving us the flexibility to tailor the course to your individual pace and needs. Students should plan at least eighteen hours between their last dive and any flights home, and the open water certification course is available for those ten years and older. Health guidelines are strictly followed to ensure safety during all training activities.

Dive Isla Bella emphasizes developing safe knowledgeable and confident divers. Our courses integrate the core skills from all agencies to provide comprehensive training while maintaining flexibility for personal preferences. NAUI is known for its thorough academic approach with traditional books workbooks tables and logbooks, ideal for divers who want to understand the reasoning behind every skill. SSI offers a fully digital system that allows students to start academics immediately and access them across multiple devices, making it convenient for all ages without oversimplifying essential knowledge. PADI provides both online and traditional learning options, with material designed to be approachable even for younger students, and includes structured chapters with corresponding knowledge reviews. Each system has unique strengths but the essential skills and safety principles of diving remain consistent across all agencies. Our goal is to ensure every student emerges as a capable and confident diver ready to enjoy the underwater world.
