Advanced Open Water

Some dive shops may require proof of completing an advanced class before allowing dives to greater depths. The advanced program provides an exciting opportunity to expand your skills with three guided boat trips. The traditional schedule includes core dives in navigation, deep diving, and night diving, along with a selection of electives such as fish identification, search and recovery, peak performance buoyancy, underwater photography, and hunting. The course price covers books, gear rentals, trips, and registration. Participants will receive the book in advance to complete the chapters at their own pace, and no formal exam is required. Designed for divers aged ten and above, the program offers six additional supervised dives, making it a fun and rewarding way to develop confidence and competence in the water while learning new techniques under the guidance of an instructor.

Our teaching philosophy emphasizes developing safe, knowledgeable, and confident divers without preference for any particular agency. We offer training for all major certification organizations, including NAUI, PADI, and SSI, and accept referrals from any universal system. The course integrates essential skills from all agencies to provide a comprehensive learning experience. NAUI focuses on traditional materials, workbooks, and tables, ideal for divers seeking a deeper understanding of the reasoning behind each skill. SSI provides a fully digital, flexible system that allows students of all ages to study across multiple devices without oversimplifying content. PADI combines structured chapters with knowledge reviews, offering a clear and accessible approach suitable even for younger divers. Regardless of the chosen agency, the program ensures that core diving principles are consistently covered, enabling every student to build confidence, competence, and readiness for advanced underwater exploration.
