Youth Firearm Safety

The Youth Firearm Safety course is an engaging, two-hour, beginner-level program designed to provide young shooters with a strong foundation in firearm safety and responsible handling. Aimed at participants between the ages of 12 and 17, the class emphasizes the principles of safe and responsible firearm use across handguns, rifles, and shotguns. Led by a USCCA-certified instructor, students receive expert guidance on the fundamental rules of firearm safety, range etiquette, and shooting techniques, all within a controlled and supportive environment. Parents or guardians are required to attend the class, ensuring additional supervision, guidance, and reinforcement of safe practices. The program combines interactive learning with hands-on application, creating an experience that is both educational and enjoyable for young participants.

The course includes extensive training on stance, grip, sight alignment, and other essential shooting fundamentals. Students practice these skills using the Laser Shot Simulator, allowing them to experience realistic shooting scenarios safely before progressing to a live-fire option under strict supervision. All firearms used in the class are provided for demonstration purposes, ensuring a safe learning environment. At the conclusion of the program, students receive a Certificate of Completion recognizing their new knowledge and skills. With a focus on safety, confidence-building, and responsible firearm use, this course provides young shooters with the tools and understanding necessary to develop into skilled and conscientious firearms users.
