Lonestar Ladies

Lone Star Ladies is a 2.5-hour monthly gathering designed for beginner and intermediate female shooters who want to learn, practice, and socialize in a supportive environment. Meeting on the second Monday of each month at 5:30 pm, this program combines classroom instruction with hands-on range exercises, focusing on key topics such as firearm safety rules, range etiquette, shooting fundamentals, and gaining confidence with a firearm. Each session features a specific training topic, providing participants with practical skills and knowledge they can apply to personal and home defense, situational awareness, and responsible firearm ownership. The program encourages a collaborative learning environment where women can learn from each other as well as from experienced instructors.

Participants will explore topics including choosing the right gun and caliber, identifying threats, creating a personal and home defense plan, carrying comfortably, and understanding Texas laws related to the use of force for self-defense. The course emphasizes building confidence, competence, and awareness while fostering connections among like-minded women. Students are encouraged to bring closed-toe shoes, appropriate clothing, pen and paper for notes, and a drink if desired. Lone Star Ladies offers a unique combination of education, practice, and camaraderie, making it an engaging and empowering experience for women interested in firearms and personal protection.
