Ocean School Term 1: Jervis Bay Wednesday 4:30pm

The Ocean School program offers an exciting eight week journey designed to build confidence, curiosity, and a lasting connection with the sea. Each session takes place in the calm and beautiful waters of Jervis Bay, where children learn through exploration and guided practice. The program blends freediving basics, yoga, meditation, breathwork, and ocean awareness to create a balanced learning experience. Students develop practical water skills such as safe breath holding, duck diving, and using masks, snorkels, and fins, all while discovering the fascinating marine life and ecosystems that make the region unique.

With supportive instructors and a hands on outdoor classroom, children gain confidence and a deeper understanding of ocean safety, marine behaviour, and environmental responsibility. The program also covers important topics including buddy safety, the effects of plastic pollution, the role of seaweed, marine mammals, and the Great Southern Reef. Premium snorkelling gear can be provided, and discounted equipment is available for purchase. Sessions run rain or shine, with indoor lessons during severe weather. This engaging and educational experience encourages young ocean lovers to build skills, awareness, and a meaningful relationship with the marine world.
