Build strong water confidence through structured weekly lessons
Learn freediving basics in safe shallow bay environments
Discover marine life and ocean awareness with hands on learning
Practice breathing techniques for calm focused underwater experiences
The Ocean School Program offers an engaging eight week journey designed to build water confidence, ocean skills, and environmental awareness in a fun and nurturing setting. Through a mix of freediving, yoga and meditation, breathwork, and ocean awareness, children discover the beauty and rhythm of the sea while developing important physical and mental skills. Each session takes place in the protected shallow bays of Jervis Bay, creating a natural classroom where students practice swimming techniques, safe breath holding, duck diving, and the use of masks, snorkels, and fins. The program also explores topics such as buddy safety, plastic pollution, shark behaviour, marine mammals, the role of seaweed, the Great Southern Reef, and fish identification, offering a well rounded understanding of the marine environment.
High quality snorkelling equipment, including full length wetsuits, masks, snorkels, and fins, can be provided, and students also have access to discounted dive gear in store. Ocean School 2026 begins in Term 1 on the week of 2 February, running for eight weeks with sessions held from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Weekly location updates are shared through a private Facebook group. Classes run in the rain, with indoor alternatives arranged when weather conditions become extreme, ensuring learning continues safely and consistently.
