Board your horse at Wildwood Stables in Acadia National Park for a seven-night equestrian experience immersed in scenic forested carriage roads and peaceful landscapes. The stables feature three barns with spacious stalls, convenient water access, and bathing areas for horses. Riders can explore over forty-five miles of carriage roads while enjoying fresh air, forest trails, and tranquil surroundings. Nine campsites with full RV hookups provide electricity, water, and power, allowing guests to combine overnight camping with hands-on horse care. This self-care boarding experience encourages active participation in daily horse management while enjoying Maine’s natural beauty and historic carriage road system.

Proper vaccination documentation is required before unloading horses, including negative Coggins, EHV-1 Rhino, and Rabies vaccines. Non-residents must also present a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection. Guests should bring neatly organized printed copies as digital copies are only accepted several days prior to arrival. Wheelbarrows, rakes, brooms, and manure forks are available for daily horse care, while hay and shavings can be purchased on site. With limited cell coverage and no Wi-Fi, guests should prepare all materials ahead of time. This extended stay provides a safe and comfortable environment for both horse and rider, combining hands-on equestrian care with outdoor adventure and scenic exploration in the heart of Acadia National Park.
