This was my husband and I's first cooking class experience, and what an amazing experience it was! Our host, Kano, was incredibly nice and helpful as she guided us through the experience. I have close to zero experience with cooking, so don't let a lack of cooking skills scare you away from trying! 10/10 recommend for anyone traveling to Osaka!

We took a honeymoon trip to Japan this year and our first destination was Osaka. We explored activities to do together and found this beautiful and traditional establishment at Eat Osaka. Our host made our experience incredible!! We had an amazing time learning about the structure of a traditional Japanese Kitchen and home, as well as the customs and traditions tied to do it. She made us feel welcomed. She taught us how to make traditional street food, and every step had a special meaning to it. I cannot recommend a place more to share a special meal with your loved one and also get to meet people from other parts of the world to experience this together.

A truly delightful experience. I would like to extend my compliments and appreciation to our lovely host and instructor, Miki. She really made us feel at home. Not only were there discussions about Japanese cuisine, we explored Japanese architecture and the layout of traditional homes & kitchens; why they are designed and structured as they are and the etiquette and philosophies behind Japanese homes. This was by far our favourite activity during our honeymoon period. The food was absolutely delicious and alternative techniques and ingredients were delved into - Miki explained how we could tailor this recipe for different outcomes. No stone left unturned. Seemless experience. A must do when in Osaka🎌. THANK YOU EAT OSAKA!!!❤️

We had such an amazing time with Nathalie at Eat Osaka! The other couple didn’t show up, so we ended up having a private class. All the food we prepared was so delicious, I actually enjoyed our tempura more than the tempura we got as street food! And the udon and miso dipping sauce were AMAZING. Nathalie explained everything so well and she was so friendly. I loved chatting with her about things to do in Japan and giving her tips for things to do in my hometown. Half the fun was just chatting with her, but it was complimented by the very simple and delicious recipes. I feel like I can go home and actually make this meal, unlike other classes I’ve taken where it felt too complicated. I also loved the location in the traditional Japanese home with many of the old fixtures. It made the whole experience feel much more authentic and I felt lucky to get to be in such a beautiful setting. I cannot recommend this class enough. Please support Nathalie and her business, you will have an amazing time!

Cannot recommend this class enough! On a trip through Japan with some friends, and we decided we wanted something unique. Well, this experience took the cake! Nathalie was an absolute doll, who took us through the intricacies of some Japanese specialities (home made udon with dipping broth, pickled cucumber, tempura chicken and veggies). The quaint Japanese style kitchen set the scene for a perfect rainy afternoon activity. Everything was absolutely delicious, we had the best time! Seriously, don’t miss out on this opportunity if you’re in Osaka and love food and culture! Thank you Nathalie!!!
