This immersive experience is designed for those who wish to deeply engage with Japan’s traditional culture and incorporate its refined aesthetic sensibilities into daily life. By exploring the teien, or traditional Japanese house and garden, participants gain a profound understanding of the uniquely Japanese appreciation for harmony, beauty, and mindfulness. The program emphasizes the Three Arts, where learning proper etiquette, including graceful standing and sitting postures, careful handling of objects, and mindful walking, cultivates refinement and enhances personal character. Participants are guided through the wearing of kimono, where etiquette and manners are carefully taught, allowing for a deeper connection with the culture. Through Shodo calligraphy, each brushstroke becomes an expression of inner spirit, mindful posture, and harmony with space. Ikebana flower arranging encourages the refinement of sensibility by expressing the beauty of nature and balance within a composition. The tea ceremony experience nurtures an understanding of hospitality, as participants prepare and serve tea and wagashi while attending to the feelings of their guests, creating a moment of shared elegance and mindfulness.
The experience is further enriched by the thoughtful integration of traditional beauty and photography. Participants dress in kimono and are guided by a photographer attuned to Japanese aesthetics, capturing the grace of the attire alongside the timeless elegance of traditional architecture and gardens. Each guest receives a personalized gift from the calligraphy instructor, a kanji character of their own creation carefully inscribed on an original bag, creating a tangible memory of the experience. The program also introduces the concepts of fūzei and fūryū, reflecting Japan’s delicate spirituality and aesthetic appreciation of atmosphere, nature, and the passage of time. By embodying these practices, participants not only acquire technical skills but also refine the self, elevate personal character, and cultivate a deeper connection with the cultural essence of Japan, leaving with both meaningful insights and unforgettable memories of elegance, harmony, and artistry.

One of the most insane experiences ever. A beautiful venue, massively let down by service and management there. From being charged twice and promised a refund.. still chasing.. to having to chase extras we had purchased on the room (bath tray). Reception dropped my ipad out of our bag while holding and luckily still had it when i came looking. Locked out of our room, mixup after mixup on the booking and stay. The bar food was great but staff very aloof. Had to request everything twice. Mixup again with being billed for a dinner we had bought in the package and left feeling as if we were staying in Fawlty towers itself. Real shame, a once incredible place for a break, now a stress inducing weekend away. After everything we experienced, the bar manager offered us 10% off our €8 bill and that was the only attempt made to rectify the constant mistakes and mixups experienced. We laughed it off and tried to enjoy ourselves, but no doubt i wont be back and recommend people to look elsewhere if looking for a relaxing break! Its not gonna be found here!

Myself and my family went to have lunch in the Seven Bar and were far from impressed. Unpolished glasses, sticky and unclean table, cold mash potato served with chicken supreme, pasta dish was slightly warm and cold in some fork fulls and the Korean salad was to salty to eat, white wine was room temperature and tasted as if it had been opened a day or two prior. No server had approached us to ask how the food was or were we ok for everything. We were quite disappointed in the whole experience, it was far from what a 4 star hotel standard should be.

Very disappointed in this whole experience. Had a lovely time in the spa which is the only saving grace of the whole trip. Firstly had a bad time in the restaurant as took 2 hours for a 2 course meal. Our main was forgotten whilst everyone around us was getting theres. Lied to that the kitchen was rammed then later on told us it had been forgotten. Then arrived Cold and rushed. Then checked into our room to have a bath (side note we had come all this way out of Dublin to have a night escape from work and a bath as we have no bath where we are staying with work) The bath wasn’t working.someone came to look at it then left and never came back we rang down twice to chase still nothing, then went downstairs only for someone else to come up and tell us it was broken again.. moved rooms eventually to 2 single beds, so moved again to probably the worst room in the hotel, it was old dark and a downgrade from our original room. By this point it was an hour and a half late and we just left. Poor customer service and no general care about anything. Way to ruin a special night away.

The hotel was lovely. Beautifully decorated and well kept. The Christmas Decs were up too and were very pretty. The room was spacious and absolutely spotless 👌. Very comfy bed. I managed to have lunch, dinner and breakfast and all was tasty with good service from all i encountered. I used the health club aswell - plenty of equipment and space in the gym and I even had the lovely and clean pool to myself for a while in the early morning. Can't fault the place.

I stayed with my Mum in October, we had a fabulous stay ❤️ The real stars of the hotel are the staff ⭐️- thank you to the wonderful Glenn, Garry, Filipe & Raoul. Gorgeous hotel, fantastic food in Blake’s restaurant. Rooms are very spacious, luxurious and comfy. The hotel was very busy and a wonderful atmosphere !
