Begin your journey at the Mucci Winery in Torino di Sangro, a family-run estate that has been dedicated to producing exceptional wines while respecting the rich traditions and unique environment of Abruzzo. Since its founding, the Mucci family has combined passion, expertise, and innovation to create wines that reflect the region’s terroir and cultural heritage. The winery is equipped with a modern, high-tech wine-making and bottling facility, allowing the estate to achieve a balance between efficiency and superior product quality. During the tour, guests are invited to explore the beautiful vineyards, where rows of carefully tended vines stretch across the landscape, and to learn about the family’s history, philosophy, and dedication to winemaking. The tour offers an immersive experience, giving insight into the meticulous cultivation of grapes, the environmental considerations of the vineyard, and the innovative techniques employed to maintain excellence in every bottle produced.
The guided experience continues with a visit to the winery itself, where guests will see the production and bottling areas and gain a deeper understanding of the processes that transform grapes into high-quality wines. The tour culminates in a tasting session led by the winemaker, offering a curated selection of the estate’s finest wines. Participants will learn how to evaluate wines using sight, smell, and taste, developing an appreciation for the complexity, aroma, and character of each variety. This tasting is not only an opportunity to savor the flavors of Abruzzo but also an educational moment that enhances the overall understanding of winemaking. Combining scenic vineyards, family heritage, and hands-on wine education, the Mucci Winery tour provides a memorable and enriching experience that celebrates both tradition and innovation in the world of fine Italian wines.

An amazing experience to see what is involved in the production of wines. The tour guide spent almost 2 hrs explaining in detail every part of the process, which included wine tasting at the end of the tour. Well forth the cost and I would encourage you to give it a try and if nothing else support the only Irish vineyard in lenister.

Great experience doing the tour and wine tasting. Very detailed and in-depth knowledge of the process of wine making and the pairings with the wine are a great touch! We'll be back 😄

Made my way down to Wicklow Way Wines for their wine tour! Turns out you don’t need grapes to make wine! Apparently, if it has sugar and you add yeast… you can make wine. So any fruit could technically become wine (though some might taste tragic 😂) But berries are a great candidate because they have a good balance of natural sugar , and they produce rich colours and flavours! I did genuinely enjoy the tour tho! I recommend everyone to go, it’s very interesting! And the wine is actually good too, although the raspberry was my favourite! So now you know, there’s actually Irish Wine 🙂↕️ 10/10 🍷✨

Wicklow Way Wines offers something truly special – this is not your typical wine tour. The winemaker’s unique approach to fruit wine turns it into a fine wine experience, with distinctive, refined flavours that stand out from anything else I’ve ever tasted. The quality of the products is outstanding, and you can really feel the passion and care that goes into every bottle. The tour and tasting were equally impressive – personal, entertaining, and full of humour. It was engaging from start to finish, and I walked away not only having had a lovely time but also learning something new and unexpected. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fresh take on wine and a genuinely memorable experience! The wines are vegan friendly by the way.

Highly recommend the Wicklow Way Wines tour experience. You're greeted by the winemaker himself, Brett, who is enthusiastic and passionate about winemaking. He'll walk you through the process of making their three Irish berry wines and then the group will head upstairs for a tasting with chocolates and cheese to compliment the wine. A great afternoon and absolutely worthwhile.
