All drivers are required to complete the mandatory Utah OHV Education Course to operate a UTV legally. Individuals aged 18 and older must take a short, free education course, while those aged 16–17 with a valid driver’s license must complete the Utah Youth Certification Course, which costs and takes approximately 3–4 hours. These certifications are valid for life and ensure that all riders are informed about safe and responsible UTV operation.
