The San Juan Huts trail system offers an extraordinary 250-mile bike-packing adventure across the backcountry of the Colorado Plateau, connecting Moab, Utah, with destinations in Colorado. To simplify the challenges of traditional bike-packing, fully stocked huts are provided along the route, allowing riders to travel light while still enjoying a multi-day backcountry experience. Riders can choose from four different routes: Telluride to Moab, Durango to Moab, Telluride to Gateway, and Durango to Paradox. These trails feature a mix of technical singletrack and scenic dirt roads, making them suitable for a wide range of skill levels, from intermediate to experienced riders.
Shuttle services are available to transport riders and their bikes between start and end points, with options for standard vehicles for small groups or 15-passenger vans for larger groups. Pricing varies depending on the route, group size, and drop-off locations, with additional fees for certain destinations such as Molas Pass. Emergency rescues are also available, with pricing determined by location, weather, and availability of vehicles and drivers. Mike

Hazard County Shuttles provided transportation for our San Juan Huts Telluride to Moab trip. Geoff was super knowledgeable, kind, patient (soooo patient), affordable, and helped me navigate a lot of the confusing logistical details. He was phenomenal, and we will use Hazard County Shuttles in the future!

Our crew did the San Juan Huts’ Tour of the Canyons ride, which was fantastic!! Geoff and his team were very responsive with prices that were more than fair and even better service. Also helped our group with a last-minute pickup request and did so with ease. We’ll definitely use them again when we do more cycling out in the Moab area! 10/10 - no notes!

We used Hazard County Shuttle for the drive from Moab to Durango for the San Juan Hut trip. Awesome group of people, arrived on time, pleasant to chat with and filled us in on some obscure local facts. Highly recommend this shuttle service.

Planning a mountain biking adventure for eight people from Telluride to Moab via the San Juan Huts system presented a logistical puzzle. Our main concerns were navigating the travel from our arrival airport in Grand Junction (GJT) to Telluride, and the return trip from Moab back to GJT. Crucially, we also had eight bulky bike transport bags that needed to be moved between the starting and ending points. Hazzard County Shuttles, run by Geoff, provided the perfect, custom solution. They met us at the Grand Junction airport and transported our gear and us directly to our Telluride rental. The driver, Brett, waited while we unpacked our bikes, and then took all eight bike bags with him. When we arrived in Moab, our bags were dropped off the same day we finished our ride. The next morning, Brett picked us up in Moab and drove us back to Grand Junction, leaving us with ample time before our departing flight. Geoff was highly responsive and quoted a fair price. Our driver, Brett, was courteous and punctual. Hazzard County Shuttles made the complicated travel logistics and bike bag transport effortless and enjoyable. We highly recommend them.

Beyond EXCELLENT service. Geoff and Brett were very helpful in logistics, planning, and driving us to our destinations. We did the San Juan Huts ride from Durango to Moab. But it had some tricky logistics as we were coming in from abroad. They were able to pick us up from Grand Junction and drop us off in Durango. And on the backend from Moab to Grand Junction. Won’t have to look for another shuttle service next time we are in the States!
