This three day AIARE Level One avalanche course is designed to build a strong foundation for safe backcountry travel in Colorado’s complex snowpack. Led by experienced local instructors the course combines online learning classroom sessions and hands on field instruction to help participants understand avalanche hazards terrain assessment and decision making. With a strong focus on practical skills students learn how to recognize manage and reduce risk while traveling in avalanche terrain.
