This full day tour explores some of the most popular destinations southwest of Coimbra combining faith history and coastal scenery. Departing from Coimbra the first stop is the Sanctuary of Fátima one of the most important Christian pilgrimage sites in the world. You will visit Aljustrel also known as Aldeia de Valinhos where the three shepherd children Lúcia Francisco and Jacinta lived. At the Sanctuary you will have time to explore the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary the Basilica of the Holy Trinity and the Chapel of the Apparitions where it may be possible to attend a Mass.

The journey continues to Batalha to visit the Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a symbol of Portuguese independence. You will admire its impressive architecture including the church cloisters Founders Chapel and the famous Unfinished Chapels. The final destination is the fishing village of Nazaré where visits include the Sanctuary at Sítio panoramic views over the northern beach known for its giant waves and a walk through the narrow traditional streets of the village. At the agreed time the tour returns to Coimbra.
