Fantastic Building and beautiful dining room. Live music was good. Service was outstanding. The only negative was the food... and when it comes right down to it that is the reason you go to a restaurant. The food was just not adequate. I ordered the ravioli which was off in flavor and ended up sending it back. The server was super gracious and they took it off our bill, so kudos to the staff. The other three in our party actually finished their food but said it was not something they care to repeat. So I have to give the restaurant a low score and suggest you only go here if you want to utilize the bar portion and enjoy the live show. I truly hate that I have to give such a low score to this beautiful location because I think it stand out head and shoulders above the local competition if the recipes were better.
Servers were alright. I ordered the tortas ahogadas and the bread was really hard and did not taste fresh. So I ordered a side of beans with rice and half of the rice was undercooked. The beans were the only meal that I enjoyed. As far as atmosphere goes. While we were eating, vendors young and old come up to you repeatedly asking tu to buy stuff from them. Really didn’t like that.
We enjoyed the mariachi performance on Monday 2130 dinner. Food was okay but not much great. There are some good servers and ' trying' servers. We got helped by the latter and he put the straw into the iced cups with the plastic covers on, so we had to take it out. But he tried his best to occupy us. So we tipped him 15% The performance was great. The Mariach bands come to you and ask if you want songs. There are a few of those and they charge 500pesos. Considering they sing several for you and the number of each group members, I think they deserve that much. They come and ask gently so do not have to worry about being offended like in some other countries. Also? This place is consist of 9 restaurants. Great experience. So overall, I give 5.
