This four-day sailing course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for safe navigation of a sailing vessel in both coastal and inland waters. The course combines classroom instruction and hands-on practice, covering essential navigational theory, chart plotting, and the use of modern tools such as GPS and compasses. Students will progressively build their understanding of coastal navigation through exercises that increase in complexity, preparing them for real-world sailing scenarios.

The course is scheduled over two weekends, allowing participants to apply their learning incrementally and gain practical experience on the water. Instruction follows the ASA curriculum, incorporating elements from Basic Coastal Cruising, Bareboat Cruising, and Advanced Coastal Cruising. By the end of the course, students will have developed confidence in planning and executing coastal passages safely, understanding tides and currents, and employing navigation techniques critical for responsible and competent sailing.
