Basic Keelboat Prep Class

Set sail on a journey to develop confidence and competence in sailing with the Basic Keelboat Prep Class. This comprehensive three-hour course is designed for beginners and combines both classroom learning and dockside instruction to provide a solid foundation in sailing. Participants will gain essential knowledge in sailing vocabulary, safety practices, and the fundamental mechanics of sailboats. The course emphasizes hands-on learning, allowing students to actively engage with the boat, understand its parts, and learn how to handle the sails under the guidance of experienced instructors.

With a maximum of six students per class, the program ensures personalized attention and an interactive learning environment. Students will explore the role of the wind, practice key safety procedures, and develop a basic understanding of seamanship to prepare them for future time on the water.
