Defensive Handgun Course Builds Real-World Carry and Response Skills

The Defensive Handgun course is an intermediate-level training program designed for individuals who intend to carry a firearm daily and want to develop the skills necessary to respond effectively under real-world, high-stress conditions. Structured as a three-hour session, the course emphasizes hands-on range training with minimal classroom instruction, focusing on practical application and performance.

Participants work on essential defensive skills such as safely drawing from a holster, managing reloads, and clearing malfunctions under controlled pressure. The training builds on foundational handgun knowledge and is best suited for students who have already completed an introductory handgun course and demonstrated basic proficiency in marksmanship and firearm handling.

Under the supervision of experienced instructors, students take part in structured drills that reinforce safety, consistency, and efficiency. Core fundamentals including stance, grip, sight alignment, breathing, and trigger control are reviewed and applied in dynamic exercises designed to simulate defensive scenarios.

All instruction, targets, and safety equipment are provided, with optional firearm and holster rentals available for participants who need them. Students are required to bring a cased, unloaded handgun, appropriate ammunition, and a proper holster. The course offers a focused and practical environment for developing confidence and competence in defensive handgun use.
