Join our sewing lesson in the Craft Café and create your own tube top, dress, or skirt using sustainable materials from our store. During this session, you will work with the tube top and skirt patterns from the De Steek collection while learning the basics of sewing stretchy fabrics. This lesson introduces you to using the serger for creating seams and finishing techniques on the sewing machine. You will also learn to cut stretchy fabrics, work with patterns, create basic seams, finish hems, and add creative variations such as gatherings and splits.
The lesson is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some sewing experience who wish to refresh their skills. Classes are conducted in Dutch and English and accommodate sizes XS to XXL. From January, all Sewing Café workshops, courses, and lessons will take place at our Amsterdam West location, providing a creative and inspiring space to learn.

This the best thing I’ve done all year! I decided to do a sewing class as it was a life skill early this year as it was a skill I wanted to have. This is long overdue, I've taken several classes with them now, including bikini drafting, pattern drafting, and their "just as you go" sessions. Every single experience has been brilliant. I had classes with Lorna mostly and Veronica on occasion and they are both incredibly knowledgeable and approachable teachers. They make even complex concepts easy to understand and are always happy to answer questions or offer guidance. Classes cater to all levels, from those with some sewing experience to those who are more advanced. You'll feel comfortable and supported in their classes no matter where your skills are at.
