Four-Week Sewing Course in Amsterdam West Builds Fashion Skills and Confidence
This four-week course is designed for participants who have completed the Beginner Sewing Course or those with some sewing experience looking for a refresher. It focuses on helping learners advance their skills while creating a follow-up garment. The program offers a structured yet creative environment for improving sewing techniques.
Participants can choose to make their own trousers or a blouse/shirt using patterns developed by De Steek. Women may select between wide-legged pleated pants or a raglan-sleeve blouse, while men can choose between elastic-waist trousers or a buttoned shirt. The classes take place in the Sewing Café under the guidance of professional fashion designer Andrea.
Lessons are available in both Dutch and English and can be scheduled flexibly according to participant preference. Materials can either be included or brought by the students themselves. Those who choose included materials will receive organic fabrics for their chosen garment, with the option to select fabrics from the store. Alternatively, participants who bring their own materials will receive a list of required items via email.
From January, all Sewing Café workshops, courses, and lessons will be held at the Amsterdam West location, offering a creative and inspiring learning environment. The course is suitable for beginners who wish to continue developing their skills as well as for those seeking to refresh and improve their sewing abilities. It provides a supportive space for hands-on learning and personal creative growth.
