Beginner Sewing Course 2.0 (De Pijp)

Have you completed the Beginner Sewing Course and want to continue learning, or do you have some sewing experience and want a refresher? This four-week course is designed to help you advance your skills while creating a follow-up garment. You can choose to make your own trousers or blouse/shirt using patterns developed by De Steek. Women can select between wide-legged pleated pants or a raglan-sleeve blouse, while men can choose between elastic-waist trousers or a buttoned shirt. Classes are held in the Sewing Café with guidance provided by professional fashion designer Andrea. Lessons are available in Dutch and English, and you can schedule them flexibly according to your preference.

Materials can be included or brought by yourself. If you choose included materials, you will receive organic fabrics to make your chosen garment, and you can select your preferred fabric in our store. If you prefer to bring your own materials, you will receive a list of required items via email. From January, all Sewing Café workshops, courses, and lessons will take place at our Amsterdam West location, providing a creative and inspiring environment for learning. This course is suitable for beginners who wish to continue and for those who want to refresh and improve their skills.
