Upcycling workshop – Jeans side panel (Amsterdam West)

Dive into the world of upcycling and give new life to your old jeans in this fun and creative workshop at our Craft and Sewing Café in De Pijp. During the session, you will learn how to add a side panel or create a wider leg style using either another piece of fabric or denim of your choice. You will also decide the width of your jeans while learning essential sewing techniques. No prior experience is needed, as our skilled designers will guide you through using a sewing machine and an overlocking machine, making this workshop perfect for complete beginners.

If you already have some sewing experience and finish your jeans quickly, you are welcome to bring an additional small project to work on. Please bring a pair of jeans that fits well at the waist but could be wider at the legs, along with a second pair of jeans or fabric for the side panel. Some leftover fabric is available for use, and additional materials can be purchased in our fabric shop. Instruction is provided in both English and Dutch, ensuring everyone can follow along comfortably while creating a customized upcycled pair of jeans.
