First time buying climbing shoes and Angela was fantastic help. She gave me plenty of options to try out and seemed determined to find the best fit for me rather than make a quick sale. Amazing experience definitely recommend

I tried climbing for the first time in my life and I loved it. We had a short induction session with Ciara — she was great at explaining everything and very encouraging. I’ll definitely be back and would love to make it a regular habit in my life! The only downside is that it’s a bit cold — definitely better to wear layers.

Good, but we went in early January and it was freezing in there. Wear a warm jumper if your going during cold weather. It would have been more enjoyable had we known.

This climbing center was very cool. The rules for people climbing there are a bit to specific. They seem to think that Bouldering is for some kind of smart people and you need a introduction course, which you habe to pay for. For me it‘s just a cash cow. The things you need to know you can learn in a 5min talk or in a quick video. At some point in the evening it’s getting overcrowded and you have no time for yourself climbing alone.

This review is made as a tourist in Dublin. I visited this gym and overall had a okay experience, but there are a few areas where I think things could be improved. The first, and my biggest issue, I found that the holds didn’t grip very well. Many of them were very dirty (blackened), which makes climbing less enjoyable and harder than it should be. They are not cleaned before setting a new route to keep them feeling fresh. It was also not always clear what the final hold of a problem was, since the top holds are not labeled or coded in any way. This sometimes made me unsure what the correct ending is. Another thing I noticed is that the bouldering walls are placed quite close to each other. Because of this, climbers often end up in each other’s way, which doesn’t feel ideal in terms of space or flow. Lastly, I felt the entry process was a bit heavy on the safety checks. I absolutely understand the importance of safety, but in this case it felt like overkill: I had to take a test, watch a video, and answer multiple questions, even after passing the initial "test". On top of that, there was an extra €5 fee for the first entry, perhaps to cover all these additional safety checks, which made the whole process feel less welcoming than it could have been.
