Lovely little ski resort. If you are looking for something quieter or as a family, this is perfect. The slopes are mainly green and blue with couple of reds and blacks added to the mix. Plenty of free parking, two ski rental shops to hire your equipment if necessary and handful of restaurants to eat.

The Pyhätunturi ski resort offers a unique experience immersed in the pristine nature of Lapland. The slopes are well-maintained and varied, suitable for both beginners and more experienced skiers. The opportunity to ski surrounded by breathtaking views, with snow-covered forests and clear skies, makes the experience truly special. One of the resort’s strengths is its tranquility, far from the crowds of more popular destinations. The lifts, although not numerous, are efficient, and there are rarely any queues. Additionally, the resort offers a good range of alternative activities, such as snowshoeing. A minor drawback is the limited selection of restaurants or cafés directly on the slopes, which could be improved to provide more options for visitors. Also, for those looking for an extensive network of slopes and lifts, the resort might feel somewhat small compared to other locations. Overall, Pyhätunturi is an ideal destination for those seeking a more intimate skiing experience, immersed in the magic of Lapland. Recommended for families, couples, and nature lovers!

This is a lovely little ski resort. While it is small it is relaxed, friendly and picturesque with runs through snow encrusted trees, past reindeer to warming huts with blazing wood fires. The runs are not incredibly long but the lift queues are incredibly short so you could lap peak to base all day if you wanted without waiting for more than a few moments. There are a few black runs that had my heart in my mouth. Apparently Black 3 has the steepest gradient in Finland at 30%, Black 1 fell away off a convex slope so you could only see the distant Forrest below you and Black 2 had moguls up to my knee. The beginners were happy on dedicated gentle slopes of surprising length but with lots of options. There are also lots of options to eat on the mountain with somewhere to eat and drink close to the base of every lift and a warm and friendly mountain restaurant on the summit. Just to add, everywhere had gluten free and dairy free options even though they weren't always mentioned on the online menus. I would happily go here again and maybe even try some of the many activities other than skiing.

Just returned from a week's snowboarding at Pyhä and cannot recommend it highly enough. The resort is excellent. We hired equipment for the children and whilst the process is very hectic in a warm shop, it's simple and you are in and out fairly quickly, served by friendly, English speaking staff. The ski-school was good as well. My children (10 and 12) were in the Beginners Snowboarding class and after 4 days were linking turns and doing Blue Runs for fun. The instructors were mostly excellent (Jussa or Jassu apologies for my poor memory) was particularly excellent! The slopes were never busy and we always felt safe as a family of inexperienced boarders. There's a decent variety of slopes although for a more experienced boarder, it might get repetitive quickly. The t-bar and button/ plate lifts were operated by friendly staff who were very quick to help inexperienced users learn safely. The chair lifts were excellent and never over-crowded. The restaurants and bars were all good as well.

Awesome ski resort with great skiing. Chairlifts on both south and north sides make it comfortable and quick to get to the top. Friday's the lifts are open until 21:00 which is nice especially in the spring time when it's light outside. Groomed slopes have nice profiles and there is great off-piste skiing accessible with ski lifts.
