Great place for a cottage! We stayed here overnight at Easter when the cottage had just been gutted after a fire on the floor. There was no more smoke, and no information about the damage. Now the "lower nest" is locked. At Easter there was still half a meter of snow and the path was challenging enough to make it worth getting to the cottage. Great views in every direction from the observation tower and the northern lights lit up the night sky.
Low-rise wilderness hut near the parking lot, great views. Everything you need for a nice winter hike. At night, voles had come to eat from the bread bag, so it's worth keeping the food high.
