The journey can also include a visit to Daufuskie Island for a cocktail or an excursion to Vanishing Island, which is dependent on the tides and must be scheduled in advance. Arrive 10 minutes before departure, as there are no bathrooms on the boat, although facilities are available at the dock and Daufuskie Island. For Shell Island visits, bring foot protection that can safely get wet or muddy.
