We had an amazing boat tour with Captain John! He was so knowledgeable about the area and we were so thankful to him for finding the dolphins for us to see! They came right up to the boat! He was a total pleasure to meet and spend the afternoon with - highlight of our trip to Savannah for sure!

My family and I had a great time on the Mermaid Pirate Dolphin Tour. John took us out where we were able to see many dolphins and exotic birds in the river and intercoastal waterway. He even let the kids drive the boat which absolutely made their trip. Absolutely would recommend for all ages.

If I could give Captain John more than 5 stars, I would. We took our 2 kids, ages 4 and 8 today on a dolphin tour, and they had the time of their lives. Captain John is down to earth, knowledgeable, and so welcoming. We saw probably 100 dolphins, no exaggeration. At one point, our boat was just surrounded by a pod of dolphins. Even he seemed shocked by just how many we saw today. They were showing off and some came incredibly close to the boat. It was truly a highlight of our trip to Savannah! If we come back, another tour will be at the top of our list!

I cannot even begin to express what a find this was for us. Captain John was the hilight of our trip. He was engaging, knowledgeable, and friendly. He stayed within eyesight the whole time but let us have our space while hunting fossils. He gave us tips and equipped us with tools for digging. He gave each of us a bottle of water to stay hydrated. On the way back, the dolphins recognized his boat and swam so close we could have touched them. We cannot wait to go back again!

Captain John and his dolphin tour is the best way to take a tour of the rivers and creeks in Savannah, and to see the dolphins in their natural habitat. We wanted a nice, intimate your and this trip and boat were perfect. Capt john took three of us out for two hours of wonderful sights. If you are looking at a dolphin tour in the Savannah area - I can not recommend this one enough. We have previously taken tours on some of the bigger boats but the private tours offered here are far better. Captain john was very knowledgeable about the area and the animals. We will certainly come back and try some of the other tours offered.
