Campers are encouraged to engage with their surroundings, building confidence and teamwork while gaining a deeper understanding of local wildlife and coastal environments. Rotating sessions ensure participants experience each activity throughout the week.
On land, the program expands into additional adventure-based learning with archery, disc golf, rock climbing, and guided nature walks. These activities are designed to promote coordination, problem-solving, and physical fitness while reinforcing lessons about the region’s ecosystems and native species. The balance of water and land experiences creates a well-rounded outdoor curriculum.
The camp operates across multiple locations, including the Rowing & Sailing Center, Mid Island Tract, and the Island Recreation Center. All equipment, including fishing gear, bait, and safety equipment, is provided by staff, who supervise all activities to ensure a safe environment. With structured scheduling, expert guidance, and a focus on both fun and learning, the program offers children an engaging and memorable outdoor experience.
