Build Your Own Coastal Adventure Along Hilton Head’s Scenic Waters

Visitors can create a personalized day on the water with flexible excursions lasting three to eight hours. Guests can choose up to three favorite activities, including fishing, crabbing, dolphin encounters, birdwatching, beachcombing, stand-up paddleboarding, and shark-tooth or fossil hunting.

Fossil enthusiasts can enjoy dedicated shark-tooth and fossil-hunting adventures in areas known for discoveries, with Captain Byron coordinating trips around the ideal low tides. Younger guests can also enjoy shorter beach adventures, making the experience suitable for families looking for a relaxed day outdoors.

For a longer journey, guests can cruise through scenic back creeks toward the Savannah River, enjoying wildlife and dolphin viewing along the way. The adventure can also include a stop at Daufuskie Island for local seafood at the Daufuskie Island Crab Company, adding a delicious local touch to the coastal experience.

All bookings require a minimum three-hour trip, while five hours is recommended for Savannah River excursions combined with additional activities. Each trip includes approximately 45 minutes of total no-wake and eco-tour travel when leaving and returning to the marina. Shark-tooth trips are tide dependent, and shark fishing is available from June through October. Prices may vary due to fuel costs.
