Cemetery Night Walk

Discover the hidden stories of Rockhampton on a guided walk through the historic South Side Cemetery on Prospect Street. This 1 to 1.5 hour tour explores the fascinating past of the town, uncovering tales of troubled souls, soldiers, victims, and other unusual characters laid to rest here. As you walk through the cemetery, your guide will share mysteries and murders from Rockys long and dark history, bringing forgotten stories back to life in a respectful and engaging way.

Meeting takes place at the Prospect Street entrance gate of South Side Cemetery. It is strongly suggested to experience the Ghost Murder walk and the Adults Only walk beforehand, as this tour visits graves connected to stories told on those tours. While not essential, it enhances your understanding of the people and events discussed. The tour includes a knowledgeable guide who will lead you safely through the grounds. Please note that the cemetery grounds are not always freshly mowed, so access for walkers or wheelchairs may be limited at times.
