A Sweet & Spicy Day at The Ginger Factory! 🍦✨ If you're looking for a spot that hits the trifecta of great food, fascinating education, and endless photo ops, The Ginger Factory is it. I spent the day exploring and my camera roll (and stomach) is very happy. 📸 Insta-Worthy Moments You can't leave without a photo under the Umbrella Walk. The colors are incredible and it instantly brightens up your feed. I also loved the vintage vibe of the orange Buderim Ginger van—it's such a cool backdrop for a quick snap. The gardens are lush, and the pond area near the "Zog Trail" is super peaceful. 🍦 Ginger-Themed Foodies, Rejoice! The food was a total standout. We grabbed a tasting platter with fresh bread, meats, and olives that was perfect for sharing, plus some classic hot chips and nuggets for a quick refuel. But the real star? The Ice Creamery. They have so many unique flavors like: * Gingerbread (a must-try!) * Ginger Macadamia * Dragon Honey Vanilla * Even fun ones like Rainbow and Pistachio for those who want a break from the ginger theme. 🎓 Surprisingly Educational Beyond the snacks and photos, it’s actually really cool to see the "Home of Everything Ginger." Learning about the heritage of Buderim Ginger and seeing how everything is processed adds a layer of depth to the visit that you don't get at a standard park. It's mutch larger than I expected. The train and boat rides are a little bit of fun and well worth it for little kids and big kids. The queue for the boat ride moves reasonably quickly, the train leaves every 30 minutes however the queue builds very quickly so there can be a short wait. The merchandise and food prices are reasonble. Most of the staff are very helpful however a couple just don't seem to be very interested. Definitely worth a visit...
What a great place to visit in the Sunshine Coast ~ whether you love ginger or not, the Ginger Factory is an awesome place to experience. Catering for all ages, this place has it all, a fun time for the kids in the Zog forest adventure ~ immerse yourself & the kiddies in nature, surrounded by lush greenery & mystical characters, this adventure will have the kids entertained for a while. You can also enjoy the bee show & a train ride which sounded like fun, however we didn’t experience this ~ maybe next time! The gardens are beautiful with lots to see, there are plenty of shops for souvenirs & or gift ideas as well as all the ginger 🫚 & bee 🐝 products to purchase. There are lots of foods & drinks on offer with plenty of seating areas to sit & rest or just enjoy the scenery / nature. You’ll also see some wild life & plenty of ginger plants, as well as a beautiful display of colourful umbrellas & if you’re lucky enough you’ll also see turtles swimming in the pond. You could easily spend the day without being bored as there are plenty of activities for all.
