Sunshine Coast E-Bike Adventure Showcases Coastal Vistas and Wildlife Encounters

A guided 3.5-hour e-bike experience is offering visitors an active yet accessible way to explore the scenic beauty of Australia’s Sunshine Coast. Designed for riders with moderate fitness and confident cycling ability, the journey combines effortless electric-assisted riding with a carefully planned coastal route that highlights some of the region’s most iconic natural landmarks.

The adventure begins at La Balsa Park, where participants set off from the Boat Ramp Car Park and glide past the calm waters of Kawana Lake and the engineered waterways of the Mooloolah River Lock. The route continues along waterfront stretches lined with elegant homes, gradually transitioning toward more dramatic coastal scenery.

A key highlight of the ride is the ascent toward Moffat Headlands and the Queen of Colonies Lookout, where expansive views open across the Mooloolah River delta and surrounding coastline. The elevated vantage point offers a striking contrast between ocean, river, and headland, making it one of the most memorable stops of the journey.

The return leg follows the scenic Coastal Pathway, culminating at the Point Cartwright Lighthouse Lookout, where riders are rewarded with sweeping panoramic views stretching along the shoreline. On clear days, distant landmarks such as Mt Coolum and Noosa’s Devil’s Kitchen may be visible, while between June and October, the waters offshore often reveal migrating whales, adding a wildlife dimension to the experience.
