Arrive ready for a full day of outdoor fun and family-friendly activities at Jireh Hills Family Homestead. Start the day greeting the friendly herd of dairy goats and exploring the milking parlour and baby goat pens. Meet the newest arrivals and enjoy snuggling and photos with the tiny kids. Children and families can romp in the goat playground, weather permitting, and take pictures with Twix and Tootsie, the farm’s most playful goats. The adventure continues with a tour around the homestead to meet the alpacas, offering treats and a chance to feel their soft fibre. Visit the Kunekune pigs to feed and learn about upcoming piglets. Ponies are ready for obstacle course rides for children under eighty pounds, and participants can groom and pet Champ Chickadee, the gentle granny pony.
After interacting with the animals, families can explore the trails of the Carolinian Forest and Froggie Boggie Boardwalk, using a map for a forest scavenger hunt. Each family can enter the hunt draw for a chance to win a bar of handcrafted goat milk soap. End the day relaxing at the woodland campfire with marshmallow roasting and hot chocolate, BYO mug. The program is adaptable for families with mobility or dietary restrictions to ensure everyone enjoys the experience.
