Pony Rides for Children & Equine Equine Encounters for Adults

Experience a fun and educational one hour encounter with the Pony Brigade at Jireh Hills Family Homestead. Guests can meet ponies including Sapphire, Champ, Chickadee, Star, Trixie, and the larger ponies Meadow, Charlie, and Whinchester. Children have the opportunity to groom, lead, and ride the ponies while learning about care, feeding, and handling. This hands-on experience teaches responsibility and builds confidence while encouraging a meaningful connection with these gentle animals.

The event offers two options: a small group encounter suitable for all ages, or a new Equine Adult Encounter designed for ages twelve and older. Participants groom, lead, and learn pony communication techniques, haltering and saddling, and can create their own obstacle course to challenge their pony. Younger children under three must be accompanied by an adult, and pony rides are limited to riders under ninety pounds. This experience can be extended with an optional half hour campfire and hotdog roast for extra family fun.
