Alpaca Encounters

Enjoy a delightful one hour experience connecting with the friendly alpacas at Jireh Hills Family Homestead. Guests of all ages are welcome to meet a small herd including Bear, Panda, Everest, Teddy, Lou-Lou, and the newest additions Blancha, Boots, Luna, Niblet, and Hershey. Visitors can learn to earn the trust of these curious animals, lead them on short walks, and enjoy playful interactions in the spacious fenced pasture. The homestead offers naturally scenic landscapes perfect for photos and outdoor exploration.

The experience begins with a brief introduction to the farm layout followed by a walk to the woodland pen where the alpacas roam. Guests discover how and why the team “sings” to their alpacas and learn techniques for connecting with these gentle animals. Participants pair up with an alpaca, get to know its unique personality, and enjoy guided treks while observing other friendly farm critters along the way. This experience can be customized for guests with special needs, families with young children, the elderly, or visitors with disabilities, ensuring everyone can safely enjoy the interaction.
