Join our Women and Genderqueer Beginner Mountain Bike Clinic at Frick Park for a fun, supportive, and skill-building experience. This two-hour clinic is designed for participants ages 18 and older who are new to mountain biking or looking to increase confidence on a trail. Led by experienced instructors, the clinic focuses on developing fundamental riding skills, bike handling techniques, and safe trail riding within a supportive women and genderqueer riders only group. Participants will start with bike fit and basic handling drills on grass, then enjoy a guided no-drop ride on Frick Park single track with optional stops to practice features. Riders can always choose their own comfort level and continue practicing drills if preferred. The outing wraps up with time to hang out and reflect on the skills learned.
The clinic is beginner-friendly but requires some previous experience and comfort riding a bike. It has a Level 2/3 difficulty rating, easy to moderate, with a maximum group size of twelve to ensure personalized instruction. Participants should arrive fifteen minutes early to check in and dress for the weather, as trips proceed rain or shine. Tickets may include a mountain bike and helmet rental, or participants may bring their own bike and helmet. Cost assistance is available for those with financial barriers. Participants acknowledge they are physically able to take part in the activity safely.
