The place is nice can see the castle and the chapel view but was rainy afternoon. Had carrot soup, ham and cheese and two hot chocolates. It was funny that the serving of the soup is so small but taste is ok. The server was sitting and smoking near to our table so we have to move instead of her.
I guess the place has visitors because the Quinta de Regaleira takes a lot of time and then people get hungry and there is nothing else nearby to give this place some competition. The vegetarian options are either some sandwiches and wraps or one dish of the day - vegetarian lasagna. I would say avoid the wraps at all costs. I saw it ordered by some people and they were served with cold wrap that could not fold properly and therefore broke. And they charge 10 EUR for that. The dish of the day is bit more safer option. The lasagna was less in quantity but it was not horrible. You can eat it. But I think charging 19 EUR for that lasagna is what I call as overpriced. The staff is okay and service is not the best.
Total tourist trap. Lasagna (Dish of the day) was so small (check my fingers on the side of the plate for reference) and costed €19eur. A total rip off. There was no taste on the dish and you obviously don't end up full at all. The waiters are friendly WHEN they look at you, otherwise you are ignored for a while. I counted 8 staff people and still things took time on December 19th, aka off peak season. The freshly pressed orange juice was good. Stay away from the wraps, the tortilla was cold and broke when folded because they didnt even heat it up to deliver a non broken dish. Pure horrible. The place has a nice view and location, right next to the Quinta mansion, inside the grounds. But that is the only appeal. Needless to say, I dont recommend and will never visit again. A total tourist rip off.
