One of the highlights of the tour was visiting the humble village of Aljustrel, where the three shepherd children lived: Lucia dos Santos, and her cousins Francisco and Jacinta Marto. Their homes are beautifully preserved, offering a glimpse into their simple life before the apparitions. It’s a powerful and touching part of the journey. A helpful tip for travelers: There are no souvenirs or religious items sold inside the Fátima shrine itself, except candles. If you want to take home rosaries, candles, or special remembrance pieces, the village is the best place to buy them. Not only will you find beautiful items, but you’ll also be supporting the local families and community who maintain the area with so much love.
