Guide School

This ten day professional raft guide school in Durango, Colorado, is designed for individuals eighteen and older seeking an adventurous and rewarding summer job. Participants gain hands-on experience on multiple rivers while learning essential customer service, leadership, and safety skills. The program is fast-paced, immersive, and highly interactive, offering the opportunity to work outdoors, stay active, and train with experienced instructors.

Over the course of ten days, participants complete a combination of classroom instruction, on-river training, and guided ride-alongs. By the end of the program, trainees are prepared to complete a certified checkout run with guests, meeting Colorado’s state requirements for professional rafting guides. Group sizes are limited to fifteen participants to ensure personalized instruction and safety.
