FIRST Steps Rifle Course

This introductory rifle course is ideal for those with limited time or who want to explore firearms training before making a full commitment. Participants learn how to safely check whether a firearm is loaded or unloaded and gain a strong foundation in essential shooting fundamentals. Instruction focuses on position grip sight alignment breath control trigger squeeze and follow through. The course is designed to build confidence and basic skills in a supportive learning environment suitable for beginners.

The program runs approximately three and a half hours although actual class time may vary based on group size and learning pace. Classroom instruction generally lasts about one and a half hours followed by one hour of live fire practice at the range. Students may choose between two rifle options each equipped with modern optics. This is not a certification course and is intended as a first step into rifle handling and shooting. Those seeking deeper training are encouraged to enroll in a longer comprehensive rifle course. Range fees and ammunition costs are paid separately by participants and valid photo identification is required.
