An unforgettable food and culture experience in Bologna We did the Italian Days Food Experience today and it was truly exceptional from start to finish. The entire staff deserves huge kudos for creating such a welcoming, organized, and educational day. Our guide Federico was fantastic. He explained the history, traditions, and regulations behind Parmigiano Reggiano, traditional balsamic vinegar of Modena, and prosciutto in a way that helped us understand why DOP certification is so important. We now fully appreciate what makes these ingredients authentic and why they must be produced in very specific ways and only with Italian ingredients. Each visit was memorable. We saw Parmigiano Reggiano being made before our eyes, tasted balsamic that had aged for decades, and learned how prosciutto develops its incredible flavor. The pride and craftsmanship of the people who create these foods is inspiring. What we did not expect was the incredible finale. The seven course meal prepared by their Michelin star winning chef was beyond anything we anticipated. The food was outstanding, the wine pairings were perfect, and the atmosphere quickly became a joyful celebration. By the end of the meal it felt like everyone in the room had become family. The music, the energy, and the hospitality turned a great tour into something truly unforgettable. This is easily a 5 out of 5 experience and something we would recommend to anyone visiting Bologna who wants to learn, taste, and celebrate the food culture of Emilia Romagna.

This tour was absolutely amazing, and the lunch/party/celebration to finish was phenomenal. I strongly recommend this to anyone who wants to explore the area, learn about the local producers, find a newfound respect for the traditions and products that they create, eat incredible cheeses/pastas/prosciutto, and drink amazing wine. Even better, you have the warmest, knowledgeable and fun hosts. If any of this sounds remotely interesting to you, then you should sign up. I’m so happy I did.

Crazy tour. We saw how Parmesan Reggiano was made, a long family tradition of making the most amazing balsamic vinegar, the Caledonia family and the factory that makes prosciutto factory. Nicole was our chef at the end of the night and served the most wonderful flavorful food We sang and danced and ate more food than you could imagine. Alessandro was amazing and more than just fun, he made us his family. His passion for all things food especially Italian was evident. Our driver Dianfranco was a so calm and cool and even danced with us at the restaurant. Family and friends joined us for the dinner and it is exactly what you think of when dining in Italy. It was a delight. I have been on many tours but this one more than met our expectations. Do it, you will not regret it.

This tour is absolutely the best tour/experience we have had so far in Italy. Absolutely amazing 🤩. The care in the transportation, the communication, the knowledge about everything during the production process portion and then the tastings were outstanding. Then the amazing, amazing food & drinks provided for breakfast and lunch were incredible in quantity and quality. I seriously can't compare this experience any other tours I have done this week. The whole team has a kind passion that shows. Highly, highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning and having so much fun! It's worth every penny. Really.
