Visitors can learn about the cultivation of spices explore the gardens and even smell touch and taste some of the aromatic plants. The spice farm tour provides insight into the important role spices played in Zanzibar’s economy and culture while offering a sensory experience for guests. We booked the Spice Tour in advance via WhatsApp, and everything was smooth and well-organized. Our guide, Bilal, was incredibly patient and knowledgeable. He walked us through many different types of spices grown on their farm, explaining each one in detail and letting us smell and taste them along the way. At the end of the tour, they also offered a selection of fresh, organic local fruits for free, which was a lovely touch, absolutely worth experiencing!

Bilal is amazing. He is very welcoming and kind, and showed us around in the spice farm. Afterwards, we cooked together with 2 women in the village and had a wonderfull time. They were very hospitable. We really had a nice time. Thank you for everything! Asante sana!

Today we visited for the village tour, spice tour and cooking class. The whole day was a once in a lifetime experience. If you can afford to please bring some supplies for the local people. I wish I knew to bring some more things beforehand (although it is not expected). The spice tour was interesting and I learned some new things. The village tour was fantastic. The cooking class was great and the food was AMAZING. They altered the food to a vegan recipe. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Thank you for this opportunity and welcoming us to your village.

The spice farm tour was very interesting and informative. The guide showed many different plants, explained how they grow and how local people use them in daily life. There was also a small guessing game where we had to identify plants by their smell, which made the visit engaging. It was meaningful to see the local village and learn about the daily life of people there. A genuine and memorable experience that I recommend.

This Zanzibar Spice farm is by far one of the best on the island. We had such a good time with our hostess Fatima was extremely knowledgeable and could answer all our, sometimes slightly obscure, questions. This is a must do activity when on the island. Would recommend in a heartbeat but would also recommend to just turn up and go without booking to avoid being ripped off by external tour companies.
