The best park out of all in this area! We only knew of the butterfly sanctuary and the Jozani monkey thing and both were slightly underwhelming. On the way to see the monkeys we saw that there was this Jozani tortoise and reptiles park and we are so glad we stopped here! They really treat the animals nicely and the animals are happy and safe in their enclosures (if they are little) or out in the open. There were baby, small, medium and large tortoises. They were sea turtles we could feed salad to, it was so fun. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend this park! The wellfare of the animals is top priority at this park. Furthermore: this park is deeply rooted in the local community and provides work, as well a better understanding of the nature for the people of Jozani. Plus: you get to see a lot of turtles (even the really big ones!), snakes and chameleons. An ideal excursion in Zanzibar!

Great experience, super place, not so many tourists there. We appreciate the access to the animals, possibility to touch the tortoises and have the chameleon on your hand, feeding the turtles and fish is fun too. A nice gentleman who accompanied us and talked about the habits of the animals and why they're there. It's not the ZOO, it' s rather ' the rescue station for the animals in danger'. Admission fee is 10$ per person and we're sure all the money goes to the animals to have better lives. THANKS!

What an amazing little place !! If you like non crowds places , people passionate about their job that’s one must stop on the island , we were here the 29/10/24 . Our guide for just two of us showed us the park and shared his knowledge and experience with us . Very local , intimate place . But they need you to help the park (just pay the entrance fee to help 10$ pp ) don’t expect to see 100s of types of animals . Thank you for saving turtles and snakes !

We were happy to visit this park with our children. The Tour guide was very nice and gave a lot information. We could also pet the turtles and feed them. The oldest one was 71 year old! You don’t to go prison island to see giant land turtles!
