Explore the picturesque Dutch countryside on this unforgettable tour, where you'll visit the charming villages of Edam, Volendam, Marken, and Zaanse Schans. Our journey begins with a pickup near Amsterdam Central Station and takes you to Zaanse Schans, where you can capture stunning photos of traditional windmills still in operation.
Next, we head to the Waterland region, passing through the quaint villages of Edam, Volendam, and Marken. In Edam, stroll through historic sites, including the square where the famous Cheese Market once took place. Near Volendam, we’ll visit a local cheese producer, where the cheese master will share insights into the creation of Gouda and Edam cheeses. At the clog factory, discover the fascinating history of the iconic Dutch wooden shoes.
Our final stop takes us back in time to Marken, with its cozy fishermen's houses, the picturesque harbor, and the historic Protestant church. A really nice historical place to go with your kids to understand the idea of windmills and how the helped in evolution of industry.

Picturesque seaside town near Amsterdam. Dutch houses by the sea and plenty of tourist attractions. Interesting. But very crowded.

Too many people in Volendam which makes the place unpleasant to visit... if we add the number of low-end souvenir shops which litter the promenade on the port we arrive at a not very pleasant place... there are much prettier places around

Perfect excursion to get to know the towns near Amsterdam.

It was well organized.
