Lagos Dive Adventure Showcases Marine Life and Historic Underwater Sites

An immersive diving experience off the coast of Lagos is offering certified divers the chance to explore some of the region’s most visually rich underwater environments. The excursion takes participants around Ponta da Piedade, where dramatic rock formations extend below the surface and create a striking seascape for exploration.

Divers encounter a diverse range of marine life during the experience, including octopus, stingrays, cuttlefish, and schools of colorful fish. The route also features natural swim-throughs, coral formations, and historical artifacts such as a Roman anchor, adding both ecological and archaeological interest to the dive.

The experience is designed to support underwater photography and relaxed exploration, allowing divers to move through clear Atlantic waters while observing the unique blend of marine biodiversity and geological formations. The combination of natural and man-made features creates a dynamic underwater landscape.

All essential diving equipment is provided, including wetsuit, regulator, BCD, mask, fins, and boots. Participants must hold at least an Open Water Diver certification, and those with limited recent experience are advised to complete a scuba review beforehand. Additional equipment such as dive computers, flashlights, and SMBs must be brought separately if required. A medical form is mandatory, and flexible check-in times allow participants to plan their day comfortably before the dive.
