Spend an unforgettable day learning to surf with Salty Wave Surf School in the beautiful waters of the Algarve. Whether you are catching your very first wave or have some experience under your belt, our friendly and experienced instructors will guide you every step of the way. Lessons are conducted in small groups, ensuring personalized attention and support so you can build confidence, improve your skills, and enjoy every moment on the water. Safety is a priority, so it’s important to follow your instructor’s guidance at all times. Start times may vary depending on the tides and wave conditions, ensuring the best possible experience for all participants.
Pick-up is arranged between 8:30 and 9:00 AM from convenient locations in Lagos, Praia da Luz, or Burgau, usually selecting the spot closest to your accommodation. If you are outside these areas, arrangements can be made to meet at a designated meeting point where you can park or join the lesson. Alternatively, you are welcome to meet the instructors directly at the beach if preferred. The exact pick-up or meeting point will be confirmed via WhatsApp or email the evening before your lesson, ensuring a smooth and convenient start to your surfing adventure. This full-day surf experience promises fun, learning, and unforgettable memories in one of Portugal’s most stunning coastal locations.

Lagos Surf Safari was an incredible time! As a total beginner, I did two days, and I couldn’t have asked for a better intro to surfing. The instructors were amazing—super friendly, helpful, and fun to chat with. The beach we surfed at was absolutely stunning. The lessons were super helpful, the gear was great, transportation smooth, and the whole vibe of the group was really supportive and fun. By day two, I was surfing better than I ever expected. Couldn’t recommend it more! Also, I stayed at the Banana Beach House hostel, which is connected to the surf camp, and it was easily the best hostel I’ve stayed at in all my travels. I’d highly recommend pairing the two for an awesome overall experience.

Amazing instructors and surfing experience. I took my twin 9 year olds surfing for the first time and they loved it. They were both able to stand on the board in their first lesson. Thank you Remco and Sebastian! We can't wait to visit again!

We had an amazing time! I had some surf experience from before (not much and it had been a while) and my husband was a total beginner. We had private lessons with Igor for three days and he was absolutely the best. His energy and passion for surfing is unmatched. Not only was he super patient with us but when I was struggling with my turns he knew exactly what to say and have me focus on. Then suddenly it clicked and I was able to control the board much better! We had so much fun and can highly recommend this surf school and definitely recommend Igor!!

Couldn’t choose better! I’ve always wanted to try surfing 🏄♀️ and I’m so so glad I’ve chosen Lagos Surf Safari because Darcy and Igor made me a decent beginner surfer within first two days.
