Come join us on the water for an essential and practical sailing workshop focused on safety and real-world preparedness. Participants must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to join the excursion, and proof of vaccination may be required. Masks are required while on the boat and in the marina at the captain’s discretion to help ensure a safe and comfortable experience for everyone. The total duration of the workshop is approximately six hours, combining on-the-water training with valuable discussion time.

This workshop addresses one of the most critical safety situations in sailing: a crew member falling overboard. Since Crew Overboard (COB) drills are a standard part of sailing education, this session is designed to provide additional, focused practice beyond a basic cruising class. You will practice retrieving a target in moderate wind conditions, which are more common in the afternoon and present realistic challenges. The training covers the traditional Figure Eight, also known as the Quick Turn maneuver, as well as the LifeSling recovery technique. The session includes approximately four to five hours underway, complemented by dockside discussions to reinforce techniques, decision-making, and safety awareness.
