Come join us on the water for an engaging and educational sailing experience designed for beginners and those looking to strengthen their foundational skills. Participants must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to take part in excursions, and proof of vaccination may be required. Masks are required while on the boat and within the marina at the captain’s discretion to ensure the safety and comfort of everyone on board. The total duration of the experience is approximately six hours, offering ample time to learn, practice, and enjoy being out on the water.

This hands-on, one-day lesson introduces the essential principles of sailing through a practical and interactive approach. During the session, you will learn about sail dynamics, including balance, the relationship between the Center of Effort and the Center of Lateral Resistance, and the concepts of weather and lee helm. The course also covers the Rules of the Road, essential sailing knots such as the bowline, proper coiling techniques, and the cleat hitch. In addition, you will gain an understanding of tides and currents, along with practical instruction in tacking, gybing, and sail trim, helping you build confidence and competence in real sailing conditions.
